Sana Ahmed is a writer, and an award-winning artist and photographer from Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from York University.
Sana has exhibited her artwork in Canada and internationally. In 2023, her series Tree Honouring was exhibited in the Wave exhibition at
The Holy Art Gallery in London, England.
In 2020, Tree Honouring was published in The Earth Issue, a UK-based environmental publication. In 2019, Sana won the 3rd Place Award for Tree Honouring at the Transitions Art Show at Beaux Arts Brampton, and held a solo show of the series at the gallery.
Sana exhibited her photograph "Stranded" at the
92nd Annual Exhibition of Photography at Hart House in Toronto, where she won the William J. Dowkes Award in the nature category.
In 2022, Sana self-published her photo book Healing With Trees, which was selected for the Local Authors Showcase at the Brampton Library.
